FROM THE
CHAMBER BOARD
Chamber President Raoul Behr
Dear Entrepreneurs,
In a fast-paced world where international developments increasingly shape local business realities, Curaçao’s entrepreneurs continue to demonstrate resilience, ambition, and a growing readiness to connect beyond our shores. From evolving trade dynamics to emerging regional partnerships, the ability to remain informed, adaptable, and outward-looking is becoming an essential part of doing business in today’s economy.
While global uncertainty and geopolitical developments continue to influence markets and investment flows worldwide, they also remind us that opportunities often emerge for those prepared to think beyond borders and
move forward together.
Throughout this past month, we continued strengthening Curaçao’s international connections via meetings with Ambassadors and Consulate
representatives from countries including Colombia, the Dominican Republic, and Peru. These conversations reflected a growing interest in expanding trade relations, business networks, and cooperation with Curaçao, opening the door to future opportunities for our entrepreneurs and
professional sectors.
At the same time, the “Blue Wave Effect” continues to generate momentum beyond sports alone. As Curaçao increasingly finds itself on the international stage, the growing sense of national pride and visibility is also becoming noticeable throughout our city center and business community.
Various businesses embraced this spirit by giving their offices and commercial spaces a symbolic blue facelift, reflecting unity, optimism, and shared ambition. The Blue Wave reminds us that entrepreneurs move further when we operate as a team—working together to seize new
opportunities locally, regionally, and internationally. Empowering entrepreneurs through
knowledge-sharing and development also remains a priority.
In recent weeks, the Chamber continued providing entrepreneurial training sessions through Qredits while also contributing to the entrepreneurship curriculum of students preparing to become part of Curaçao’s future business landscape. Several international events, trade activities, and networking opportunities remain ahead in the coming months. We therefore encourage entrepreneurs to explore every page of this newsletter to avoid missing valuable opportunities to
connect, learn, expand, and position themselves for future growth.
Together, we continue building a resilient, connected, and opportunity-driven Curaçao.
