On April 13 and 14, representatives of the Curaçao Chamber of Commerce & Industry participated in the EU Investment Forum held in Aruba. The forum brought together policymakers, financial institutions, and private sector stakeholders from across the region and Europe to explore investment opportunities and strengthen economic cooperation with the Overseas Countries and
Territories (OCTs).
The event provided a valuable platform to engage directly with European partners and gain insights into funding instruments, development priorities, and strategic initiatives supported by the European Union. Discussions focused on sustainable growth, innovation, and the role of private sector
development in strengthening resilient island economies.
For Curaçao, participation in the forum underscores the importance of maintaining strong international connections and actively positioning the island within broader European investment frameworks. As an OCT, Curaçao has access to specific EU programs and financing opportunities
that can support local entrepreneurship, infrastructure development, and sectoral growth.
The insights and connections gained will contribute to ongoing efforts to facilitate access to
international funding and partnerships for local entrepreneurs.
