FROM THE
CHAMBER BOARD
Chamber President Raoul Behr
Dear Entrepreneurs,
As we move further into the final quarter of 2025, the Chamber continues to embrace its mission of education, connection, and support for entrepreneurs across Curaçao. Over the past months, our presentations and sessions have reached diverse audiences—ranging from aspiring entrepreneurs at Qredits and students in secondary schools, to individuals at the Curaçao Correctional Institute exploring opportunities for reintegration through entrepreneurship. These initiatives underscore our commitment to strengthening knowledge and encouraging innovation at every stage of the
entrepreneurial journey.
On the macroeconomic front, recent developments offer both relief and opportunity. The Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten has lowered the pledging
rate, a measure that can help ease financial pressures and stimulate business activity. Additionally, Curaçao will become even more accessible in December with the introduction of new direct flight connections to South America, expanding opportunities for trade, tourism, and
investment.
September also marked the official deadline for UBO registration. While this milestone has passed, we remind all newly established legal entities that registration remains a crucial and ongoing obligation under the UBO Registry. Compliance ensures transparency and strengthens trust in our business climate—values that benefit every entrepreneur. Looking outward, we are pleased to highlight the four-day seminar organized by Europe Direct Curaçao, focusing on EU–CARICOM relations and Curaçao’s associate membership within that framework. This event
offered valuable insights into our positioning within international partnerships.
Meanwhile, our calendar of webinars for October is ready, offering fresh opportunities for entrepreneurs to strengthen their skills and knowledge. We encourage you to participate actively,
exchange ideas, and use these platforms to expand your network.
Together, let us continue to build on the momentum of 2025 and position Curaçao’s business
community for growth—locally, regionally, and internationally.
