FROM THE
CHAMBER BOARD
Chamber President Raoul Behr
Dear Visionary Entrepreneurs,
The past month has exemplified Curaçao’s growing momentum in business development, regional
cooperation, and digital transformation.
A significant milestone was the launch of the digital UBO portal, enabling digital submissions for the Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) register. This step, mandated by national decree, brings Curaçao in line with international transparency standards. All entities registered before June 7, 2024, must submit their UBO declarations before July 1, 2025. The Chamber is proud to serve as the appointed entity managing this critical registry, supporting compliance through guidance and our newly launched portal.
We are also welcoming the business mission from Trinidad & Tobago this week, facilitated by the Chamber in partnership with the Trinidad & Tobago Chamber of Commerce.
This exchange underscores the value of Caribbean collaboration and the commercial opportunities that lie within our region.
During Europe Week, Europe Direct Curaçao engaged teachers in EU Writing sessions and with youth across schools to discuss EU topics, culminating in the celebration of Europe Day. These initiatives enrich our next generation’s understanding of global affairs and our connection to the world.
Further boosting connectivity, new airlift between Curaçao and Peru was announced by the Curaçao Airport —an exciting prospect for both tourism and trade.
Finally, our Chamber continues to show strong engagement with entrepreneurs, with over 54,000 contacts and more than 2,100 participants in our training activities during the first trimester of 2025 through our Entrepreneurship Center. These figures reflect a vibrant and increasingly digital entrepreneurial landscape.
We remain committed to supporting the business community as “Kurason di Komèrsio”—a hub for knowledge, opportunity, network, and growth.
Together, let’s continue to build a resilient and thriving Curaçao.
