FROM THE
CHAMBER BOARD
Chamber President Raoul Behr
Dear Entrepreneurs,
As we begin 2026, Curaçao’s business community can look ahead with confidence. The year behind us closed on a positive note, marked by economic resilience, sustained growth, and a shared belief in our collective
capacity to adapt and move forward.
Recent economic indicators confirm that Curaçao continues on a solid growth path. Tourism remains a key driver, with strong stayover arrivals and expanding airlift reinforcing our position as a dynamic and
attractive destination.
This momentum has translated into broader economic activity, employment, and foreign exchange inflows, while inflation has moderated and public finances remain stable. These are encouraging signals as we
enter the new year.
At the same time, we remain mindful of the broader environment in which our economy operates. Regional and global developments, including ongoing geopolitical tensions in our vicinity, remind us that external risks persist. Curaçao’s strength lies in its ability to remain alert, neutral, flexible, and well-connected—qualities that allow our business community to navigate uncertainty with
confidence rather than fear. Connectivity continues to shape opportunity. New links to Latin America and strengthened ties with traditional markets underscore Curaçao’s role as a regional hub for trade, tourism, and entrepreneurship. Equally important are the connections forged closer to home. Our business mixers, partnerships, and knowledge-sharing initiatives remind us that progress is built on people—on trust, dialogue, and the courage to innovate together: initiatives of
which the successes will be repeated this year.
December also marked an important democratic milestone for our organization. With the Chamber Board Elections now concluded, we welcome our newly elected Board and look forward to working together in guiding the Chamber through the opportunities and responsibilities that lie ahead.
Beyond the economy, Curaçao’s qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup stands as a powerful symbol of what determination and teamwork can achieve. As the world’s eyes turn toward this historic event, our island carries not only pride, but also possibility. As we move into 2026, the Chamber extends its warmest wishes to every entrepreneur and professional for a year of health, innovation, collaboration, and sustainable success. With clarity, connection, and confidence, we
will continue shaping a resilient and prosperous Curaçao—together.
