Sint Maarten is advancing its building back better recovery program, funded by a €470 million (USD $553 million) Trust Fund from the Netherlands, managed by the World Bank, and implemented by the National Recovery Program Bureau (NRPB).

More than USD $100 million in contracts are now open or upcoming through early 2026 for firms in construction, engineering, and consulting.

Highlighted projects include the Emergency Operations Center, Landfill Works, School Renovations, Mental Health Facility, and Drainage Improvements.

Eligibility & Key Requirements

  • The tenders are open to regional and international firms, and joint ventures are encouraged.

  • Firms require an average turnover > 1.5 times the tender value over the past three years.

  • Bidders must have completed at least two similar contracts within the past five years.

  • Documents required: audited financials, completion certificates, key staff CVs.

  • At least 30 percent of the labor must be locally employed, in line with World Bank guidelines.
