FROM THE
CHAMBER BOARD
Dear Visionary Entrepreneurs,
Welcome to the 9th edition of our E-Newsletter! This issue encapsulates the remarkable outcomes of our united efforts, highlighting the exciting initiatives already in motion and the wealth of opportunities that
await your engagement.
After the publication of the UBO Registry legislation and the successful launch of the UBO Registry in Curaçao by the Chamber of Commerce, a digital
information session was held to inform stakeholders
and the public.
The UBO Registry ensures compliance with international standards set by the Financial Action Task Force, fortifying Curaçao’s financial sector and enhancing the island’s global standing. By requiring entities to disclose their ultimate beneficial owners, this initiative fosters transparency and trust within the
business community. For those who missed the session, visit our Youtube channel to access the recording and stay informed about the UBO Registry’s developments.
We are continually expanding our global network, unlocking business and networking
opportunities across Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, and Central America, while
monitoring both regional and local developments. As we look to the future, with private sector
initiatives increasingly focused on sustainability—such as the new 21 MW Wind Energy Park
currently under development at Koral Tabak—and new efforts to connect our island to the world
through expanded cargo routes, we are confident that our network will grow even more
dynamic. Our growing tourism sector and innovative initiatives ensure continued opportunities.
We are committed to providing tailored opportunities for entrepreneurs, with several business
missions planned for the rest of the year.
Our recent engagements with Colombia, Venezuela, and other Caribbean islands, combined with the growing potential of Curaçao Business Point, are enabling us to seize the right
opportunities at the right time, surpassing previous levels of business potential and positioning
Curaçao as a hub for international commerce.
